Treasure Hunt

One of the association’s long running and highly anticipated signature events. Participated almost exclusively by MAH members, the event offers a unique recreational platform for hoteliers to connect beyond the workplace, fostering stronger camaraderie, meaningful networking, and closer ties within the hospitality community.

As key players within the tourism ecosystem, hoteliers play an important role in promoting Malaysia’s destinations and experiences. These treasure hunts provide an engaging opportunity for industry professionals to immerse themselves in the beauty and diversity of the nation, strengthening their understanding of local tourism products while inspiring greater appreciation for what Malaysia has to offer.

Members participate by forming teams of four with a car, embarking on an exciting interstate driving adventure. Flagging off from Selangor or Kuala Lumpur, the competitors will race each other to the designated state. Along the journey, they tackle brain-teasing puzzles, solve clues, and engage in teamwork-based challenges to earn points. The event is capped off with a dinner and awards ceremony in the evening.

The next 14th edition of the MAH Treasure Hunt will take place on 22 August 2026, with Port Dickson as its featured destination.
